Pousada Praia D'Azul is a hidden gem in the heart of Ilha Grande. The colorful guest house boasts an inviting outdoor pool with a cascading waterfall that provides a perfect oasis in the midst of the island's lush Atlantic Forest. The charming double bedroom we stayed in included a ceiling fan, air conditioning, and a minibar, ensuring our comfort throughout our stay. The central location of the guest house made it easy for us to explore the many trails of Ilha Grande, immersing ourselves in the natural beauty of the surroundings. The buffet offered a delightful array of tropical fruits, fresh juice, and delectable bread rolls and cakes, setting a delicious tone for each day of our adventure.Despite the intimate size of the rooms, we enjoyed the ample windows that provided stunning views of the vibrant street life and the verdant mountains beyond. The attentive staff, including Maria, made us feel at home, offering warm hospitality that added a personal touch to our experience. While the limited space for luggage was a slight inconvenience, the convenience of being within walking distance of local shops and restaurants more than made up for it. Pousada Praia D'Azul offered us a cozy retreat with easy access to all that Ilha Grande has to offer, making it a memorable and romantic escape for us.
